About our Worm Compost Service

We collect your kitchen/food waste weekly, and in return, each month you will receive a 2kg bag of nutrient rich vermicast compost to enrich your soil in your garden, helping your soil with water retention and providing all the nutrients your vegetable garden or pot plants need.

The Importance of Organic recycling

When left to biodegrade, organic waste breaks down over time which generates a tremendous amount of methane, a potent greenhouse gas that traps heat in the atmosphere and contributes to climate change. (Methane will absorb 86 times more heat than an equal amount of carbon dioxide would over a 20-year period!). These emissions are avoided when organic waste is fed to worms.

What is Vermicomposting?

The basic process of vermicomposting is very simple. Organic waste, such as fruit peels, veggie scraps are consumed by worms to be processed in their bodies to be excreted as castings - this casting is what becomes compost.
